Teething

Ah, teething. The major source of woes for all parents, no matter what the dentists say.
Teething hurts.

Here's some tips to help;
  • Tylenol/Paracetamol/Acamoli - help bring down fevers but not inflammation. I personally find Nurofen/Advil/Ibuprofen works better, but is only suitable for older babies.
  • Anbesol - liquid benzocaine is the only teething pain relief I've found helps. Teething gel tends to slide off the gums.
  • A teething toy put in the fridge can be a great soother.
  • Some people put whisky on the gums - but I'm not advocating that!
